Sizing & fit
Measure your waist and hips with a tape measure and match them to the chart for the style you want — not to the size you wear in jeans or dresses. Our three styles run on different scales, so check the table for the specific piece.
If your waist and hip fall in two different sizes, take the larger one. The full size guide walks through how to measure properly.
Up, every time. Compression garments are already cut well below your body measurements, so the larger size still shapes. Sizing down is the number one reason shapewear rolls at the waist, digs at the leg, and gets sent back.
No. A garment that is too small cannot lie flat, and a panel that does not lie flat does not smooth anything — it creates a ridge instead. If you want a firmer hold, move up a compression level rather than down a size.
Not if you keep it away from heat. Elastane loses recovery in a hot wash and in a tumble dryer, not from being worn. Hand wash cold, lay flat to dry, and a piece will hold its compression for a long time.
Comfort & wear
It should not. Every high-rise piece has a continuous silicone band that grips the full circumference of the waist rather than a few printed dots of grip.
If a piece is rolling on you, it is almost always a size too small. Try the size up before you give up on it.
Yes — that is the design brief. The knits are four-way stretch and breathable, and the shaping panels are knitted in rather than sewn on so there is no seam pressing into your waist when you sit.
As with any compression garment, if you feel pinching, numbness or shortness of breath, take it off and go up a size.
That is the entire point of the bonded edges. Instead of a stitched hem, the fabric is laser-bonded flat so it tapers into the skin with no ridge to telegraph through silk, jersey or bodycon knit.
For the smoothest possible line under trousers, choose a thong-cut style.
The Full-Body Contour Suit has a discreet gusset opening, and the bodysuit closes with snaps at the gusset, so you never have to take the garment off or undress down to it.
The high-waist brief is the everyday piece — jeans, leggings, a midi skirt. The bodysuit is for anything where you want a smooth torso and a finished neckline, and it is designed to be worn as a top in its own right.
The full-body suit is for fitted dresses and events, where you want one continuous line from ribcage to thigh with no seam where two garments meet.
With the full-body suit, yes — it is cut open-bust specifically so you can keep the bra that already fits you. Built-in cups only ever fit one body properly.
Fabric & care
Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent, press the water out gently, and lay flat to dry. No bleach, no fabric softener, no iron, and no tumble dryer.
If you must use a machine, use a mesh bag on a cold delicate cycle — but hand washing will noticeably extend the life of the piece.
Heat is the only real enemy. Hot water and dryer heat break down elastane recovery; normal wear does not. Rotating two pieces and giving each a day to recover between wears also helps.
A nylon and spandex blend, with the exact ratio varying by style, and a cotton-lined gusset on every piece. The full composition is listed on each product page.
Shipping
Orders are packed and dispatched within one to two business days, and standard delivery runs 8 to 18 business days after that. Most orders arrive inside a week.
We do not offer next-day delivery, and we would rather say so than promise it and miss.
Shipping is free on every order over $75, before tax and after any discounts are applied. Below that, the rate is calculated at checkout based on your address.
A tracking link is emailed to you the moment your parcel is scanned by the carrier. If it has not arrived, check your spam folder first, then write to us with your order number and we will resend it.
We currently ship within the United States. International delivery is something we are working on — join the email list and you will hear about it first.
Returns
You have 60 days from delivery to return an unworn item for a full refund of the item price. Start it by emailing care@sualta.com with your order number and we will send instructions the same or next business day.
Try pieces on over your own underwear, with the hygiene liner still in place — that is exactly what it is there for. Items must come back unworn and unwashed with the liner intact and tags attached.
This is standard across every intimates brand and it exists to protect the next customer. Once the liner is removed, an item cannot be resold and cannot be accepted back.
Yes. The fastest route is to place a new order for the size you want and return the original — that way the right size is already on its way while the return is in transit. Tell us when you start the return and we will make sure both are handled together.
Payment & orders
All major credit and debit cards, plus the digital wallets and pay-later options shown at checkout. Payments are processed by a PCI-compliant provider over an encrypted connection — we never see or store your full card number.
Add two items to your bag and 15% comes off automatically. Add three or more and it becomes 25%. The discount applies across styles, colours and sizes — the items do not have to match.
No code needed. You will see the discount applied in your bag before you check out.
Write to us as soon as possible with your order number. If the parcel has not been dispatched yet we can almost always change the size, colour or address. Once it is with the carrier it has to be handled as a return.
